John McAustin
John is a Partner at Belrad Group. He has more than 22 years of experience in real estate finance, asset management, and development, including having run his own real estate finance consulting and asset management business, J. Gerard & Company, for nine years. In that capacity he performed engagements for clients such as Lehman Brothers’ Global Commercial Real Estate Group, Merrill Lynch, Pacific Gas & Electric, and the Resolution Trust Corporation. He spent the previous five years with the Los Angeles office of Draper and Kramer, a Chicago-based full service real estate firm, where he managed the workout process of troubled and foreclosed office properties for institutional clients. He began his real estate career in Orange County developing office, retail, and residential projects.
John received his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University.
